Sydney came from Kansas City over spring break to have her teen portrait session. I’ve know Sydney since she was 4 years old and I’ve loved watching her blossom into a beautiful young lady and ballerina. Her modern teen portraits and classic ballet portraits made a wonderful teen session.
Have you seen Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland? Well, I have and loved it! Of special interest to me was the amazing costume design. This personal project brought together my two passions: sewing costumes and photography.
Thanks to my children for modeling their 2009 Halloween costumes for my crazy vision.

During Rachel’s studio session, she modeled this beautiful sequined gown. She added her pointe shoes for some playful fun.

Courtney is a a bubbly bundle of energy who very rarely stops talking! Well, maybe she stops just long enough to smile for some beautiful portraits. She had plenty of time to unwind while having her make-up done and then settled into some beautiful smiles and poised dance poses. Courtney attends school in Kansas City and is an incredible competitive dancer.
Courtney brought many of her dance costumes, and then borrowed one of our professional ballet costumes and formal gowns. We have so many fun formals, dance costumes and other accessories for great portrait looks.
